A 10-hour small-group day trip from Puerto Vallarta to San Sebastián del Oeste with coffee, tequila, lunch, and a downtown walk.

“The trip would have been a 5 but for 2 reasons. First, the trip was advertised as a 6 hour trip. It ended up being 8 hours. Second, we were paired up with a wrong crowd group. The guide did his best to accommodate the group. A person in our group had walking impairments this significantly slowed the group down. Too much passage of time went by. I was picked up promptly by Juan Carlos in a big, clean and air conditioned van. The drive to San Sebastián was comfortable and really enjoyable. My tour guide was a great conversationalist and it was like we were old friends! We chatted all the way up and all the way back. The regular routed bakery was closed today but the tequila distillery was open so we decided to stop there for a bit of education and…”

Full-day small-group tour from Puerto Vallarta to San Sebastián with mining-town stories, a coffee hacienda, tequila tasting, and Jalisco lunch.

“Interesting ride through the countryside and up into the hills. Learned about agave growing. Village was quaint but didn’t feel authentic the way it’s being spruced up. Tour guide was friendly and informative. Tequila place was fun. Not so good - Didn’t learn anything about growing coffee. Wasted stop except for folks to buy coffee. Likewise, too much time at the opal place and feeling pressured to buy something with every clerk claiming to be the manager and therefore able to mark the price down. Lunch order had been placed long before our arrival but the order was messed up with people not getting what they had ordered, 3 people…”
